1) New Mac security hole
See todays Macintouch for details. I have a problem with
security exploits being publicly revealed w/o notifying
Apple first, but sometimes that's the way it goes:
http://www.macintouch.com
It appears that the vulnerability is in Safari, not OSX.
Unfortunately, that's a real world example as we all use
the Internet. Yesterdays security update (2007-004) does
*not* address this issue.
2) How to use MS Outlook PST files on the Mac.
This one I came up with yesterday:
2a) Install libpst. Download at
http://alioth.debian.org/projects/libpst/
2b) Use the readpst utility within libpst to convert pst
files to Unix mbox format
2c) Import into Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird.
See screenshot. I used my old email archives as an example.
