Welcome to April :-)
In the last week, a social networking site for Mac users has been
created at net4mac.com:
http://www.net4mac.com/english.html
Unlike most social networking sites, it is not accessible via
a web browser. Instead, you have to use a Mac-only browser
you can download from their website.

I have setup a new ASACMUG group "over there" and would like
to gauge interest in moving the group over. It's a lot like
getting a new cell phone and entering your contacts all over,
but I wasn't kidding when I said that I would try to do something
should Microsoft continue their Yahoo takeover efforts.
Here are the pros and cons as I see it:
Pros:
1) free, Mac-friendly, Microsoft-proof :-)
2) net4mac integration with iLife apps
3) good privacy policies - no spam
4) faster interface, easy registration
(Yahoo profiles confuses a lot of people)
Cons:
1) Longevity - will this website last?
2) You have to make a "virtual move"
3) Not Windows compatible - site can only
be accessed from a Mac (not even iPhone)
4) Requires 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard
5) Moving message archives is a pain*
* I will take the task of moving messages.
If you join, search for my username (arm77) and I will
add you to the group. Currently, it is hidden from
public view until I finish setting it up.
